London, October 21, 2022, SPA -- Jeddah Airports Company participated in the activities of the International Airport Summit 2022, which was held in London from 19 to 20 October, with the participation of major international companies specialized in the air transport industry. CEO of Jeddah Airports Company, Ayman bin Abdulaziz Abo Abah, said that participation in this conference aims to learn about the latest operational practices for managing global airports, by exchanging knowledge and experiences with specialized international companies, and presenting "Jeddah Airports" plans related to building, developing and improving services at King Abdulaziz International Airport. He pointed out that the conference is an opportunity to meet with the chief executives of airports and air transport companies, and to discuss ways of cooperation, based on the keenness of Jeddah Airports to achieve development and progress and to extend bridges of cooperation with major companies specialized in air transport, to achieve the goals entrusted to Jeddah airports within the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics Services, as King Abdulaziz International Airport is based on the Kingdom’s values and social principles that appear in welcoming all passengers from different cultures in the light of providing a high-end, safe, positive and attractive service environment, as this vital facility represent one of the most important global hubs through its connection with the international airports' network and that it is one of the pillars of the strategy in the non-oil revenue plan of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. The CEO indicated that the company is currently seeking to raise the capacity of King Abdulaziz International Airport by completing the terminals to be established after adopting the general plan to complete Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 to achieve all the goals assigned to the airport in terms of the number of transit passengers and to achieve the goals for all arrivals of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, who make up 30% of transit passengers, noting that "transit" passengers also represent from 25% to 30%, while regular travelers represent 40% of the 114 million passengers targeted through King Abdulaziz Airport in 2030.
