Riyadh, November 7, 2022, SPA -- The organizing committee of the 22nd Arab Radio and Television Festival, to be hosted by Riyadh on November 9, has received 5,00 participation applications through the website, in addition to 500 journalists from across the world. Guests of the festival from the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) have started to arrive to participate in the media event that will see the launch of several initiatives and partnerships that aim at enhancing the Arab production industry in a way that keeps pace with various developments and drawing clear features for the future of professional standards of the media map in the region out of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's role as a leader of the Arab world. The festival also brings together Arab creative people, officials and professionals working in the audiovisual sector, and effective people in the audio and image field, telecommunications and modern technologies. The festival also includes the ASBU exhibition for radio and television with the participation of member corporations, TV networks, private radio stations, Arabic speaking international channels and the most famous international companies manufacturing technological and integrated equipment, and media production companies. It also includes holding more than 30 workshops and sessions that will discuss all topics related to TV and radio production, and sports media, in addition to sessions concerned with the women's participation, her role in the cinema and issues throughout history, as well as filmmaking independent media work and other subjects. The festival will be opened in the center of Riyadh at the Hilton Airport Hotel with a big ceremony that will see honoring several media and art figures that influenced the Arab arena with their audiovisual productions for several years.
