Makkah, October 27, 2022, SPA -- Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, concluded his official visit to Indonesia by holding seven extensive meetings with several officials from the public and private sectors in Indonesia, during which he discussed facilitating the arrival of Umrah performers in Makkah and Madinah, after a pause in the movement between the two countries during the past two years due to the repercussions of the Corona pandemic. Dr. Al-Rabiah reiterated that the Kingdom, the government, and the people, welcome all Umrah performers coming from Indonesia, stressing the abolition of all health conditions about vaccines for the (Covid-19) virus, and not requiring a specific age for the arrival of Indonesian pilgrims, or procedural restrictions related to the presence of a mahram ( an accompanying close relative man) for women, and in unlimited numbers. He stressed the need to resume flights between the two countries to what they were before the pandemic, after allowing the performance of Umrah and movement in the Kingdom for holders of all types of visas, pointing out that the number of pilgrims from Indonesia is the highest among the rest of the Islamic countries, as their numbers exceeded one million pilgrims in the past few the months, and more than 211,000 pilgrims performed Hajj last season. The Minister called on all those wishing to perform Umrah to visit the Islamic and historical sites in the Kingdom, especially in Makkah and Madinah, to enrich their religious experience, pointing out that the Kingdom enjoys a large number of religious and historical sites worth visiting, the latest of which is the inauguration of eight new sites by Madinah Region Governor, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Region Development Authority. The Minister underlined the ministry’s keenness and all parties involved in the Hajj and Umrah to provide the best services to pilgrims with the highest quality standards, under the umbrella of the Pilgrim Experience Program, one of the Saudi Vision 2030 executive programs, and in light of the unlimited support and constant care of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Crown Prince for the comfort and safety of pilgrims and visitors. --SPA 16:06 LOCAL TIME 13:06 GMT 0021 www.spa.gov.sa/w1803705
