Jakarta, October 25, 2022, SPA – Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah today held a meeting with Indonesian Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, as part of his official visit to the Republic of Indonesia, with the aim of discussing cooperation in light of the historical relations between the two countries to take them to better levels in a bid to facilitate the arrival of Indonesian Umrah performers in Makkah and Madinah to perform their rituals with ease and tranquility as part of targets of the Saudi Vision 2030. Al-Rabiah stressed the keenness of the ministry and other stakeholders to offer the best services for Umrah performers with the highest quality standards in light of the unlimited and ongoing support of the wise leadership to the comfort and safety of Umrah performers and pilgrims and as part of the profound commitment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to serve Islam and Muslims in its capacity as host of the Two Holy Mosques. He also referred to the strategic relations between the two brotherly countries and joint and mutual interests, especially that the two countries are members of the G20, noting to the importance of the transport sector as a main activity that supports the ease of transport between the two nations and contributes to enhancing relations between the two brotherly peoples and access to the Two Holy Mosques. The visit also saw holding several expanded meetings with officials and specialists form the public and private sectors to discuss means to enhance cooperation in several fields in a way that realizes the aspirations and wills of the two leaderships and realize development targets, enhances ties in several fields, such as religions and culture, develops strategic cooperation between the two sides, and contributes to increasing the level of services provided to Umrah performers coming from Indonesia to Makkah and Madinah. --SPA 15:14 LOCAL TIME 12:14 GMT 0017 www.spa.gov.sa/w1802522
