KSU and stc Cooperate to Develop and Innovate in Fields of AI

Riyadh, September 14, 2022, SPA -- stc Group and King Saud University (KSU) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enable development and innovation in the fields of artificial intelligence, within the framework of joint research and academic cooperation agreements. The MoU aims to enhance research cooperation through the sharing of long-standing experiences in the implementation of training programs and research projects in the fields of artificial intelligence; in an effort to enable this technology in the ICT industry, exchange consultations in the areas of innovation, and develop joint projects that enable training, development and innovative activities. The MoU was signed by KSU Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Yazeed Al-Sheikh, Vice President of stc Group and Dean of stc Academy, Dr. Moudhi Al-Jami, as part of the two sides’ participation in the Global AI Summit held in Riyadh during the period from 13-15 September, and organized by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). Dr. Al-Sheikh stressed the pioneering role of King Saud University in developing national capabilities, research, innovation and excellence in the fields of artificial intelligence and digital technologies, as the university is rich with distinguished scholars, centers and specialized colleges.
