IsDB, Jordan Sign Two Agreements to Support Food Security and Tourism Sector

Jeddah, September 29, 2022, SPA -- The Jordanian government and the Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDB) signed two agreements here today to support the food security and the tourism sector, with a value exceeding USD210 million, under the patronage of Jordanian Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh, and with the participation of the President of the IsDB Group, Dr. Mohammad Sulaiman Al-Jasser. The Jordanian Prime Minister commended the contributions of the IsDB and its continuous support for economic projects in Jordan, looking forward to continuing partnership with the IsDB, in many areas, including the public sector modernization map. Dr. Al-Jasser affirmed the IsDB's interest in continuing to support and implement development and service projects in Jordan, pointing out to the efforts of the Jordanian government in implementing many reforms that would improve the business and investment environment in Jordan, indicating that the IsDB looks forward to strengthening future cooperation with the Jordanian government in various fields and bilateral and regional initiatives, in addition to working with the international community, other development partners and the private sector to enhance partnership and cooperation to support social and economic development efforts in Jordan.
