Saudi Arabia Participates in 7th Conference of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria in New York

New York, Sep. 23, 2022, SPA -- Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, who represented the Kingdom, has participated in the work of 7th Conference of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, which was held on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, in the presence of President Joseph Biden of the United States of America and a number of heads of states, foreign ministers and high-level delegations, it was reported today. In his speech during the conference yesterday, Dr. Al Rabeeah said that “the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is one of the largest international donors to humanitarian work,” affirming that supporting the health sector is one of the most important priorities of aid to the Kingdom. “Since establishment of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria in 2002, the Kingdom has contributed USD 123 million dollars for the fund,” he added, asserting that the alliance is important to strengthening international solidarity.
