Riyadh, July 07, 2022, SPA -- The Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, welcomed the agreement of the armistice in Yemen, on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Adha, through the confirmation of the Yemeni parties in the Military Coordination Committee, at its meeting in Jordan, to renew their commitment to stop all military operations inside and outside Yemen, building trust, providing a suitable environment to dialogue, and improving living and humanitarian conditions. Dr. Al-Hajraf valued the efforts of the Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, in strengthening the commitment to the truce, since its renewal for two additional months in early June, in line with the initiative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, announced in March 2021, to end the crisis in Yemen through a comprehensive peace settlement.
