New York, Sep. 19, 2022, SPA -- Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf met here today with the United States Special Envoy to Yemen Timothy Linderking on the sidelines of the 77th General Assembly of the United Nations. During the meeting, Dr. Al-Hajraf confirmed the support of the GCC countries for the efforts being exerted to enhance security, stability and peace in Yemen. The meeting reviewed the UN efforts to end the conflict in Yemen, including the truce announced by the UN special envoy for Yemen as well as intesifying the efforts of the international community to mount pressure on the Houthi group to seriously engage in the peace process to solve the Yemeni crisis in accordance with the UN references.
