KSrelief visits a project to support maternal, newborn, and child health services in Tajikistan

Dushanbe, September 16, 2022, SPA — King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) participated in a field visit to a project to support health services for mothers, newborns, and children in four districts of Khatlon State in Tajikistan, as part of its contribution to the Lives and Livelihoods Fund projects of the Islamic Development Bank, which benefits 300,000 people in the targeted districts, including 62,238 women of childbearing age, 10,118 pregnant women, 9,903 newborns, and 45,264 children under the age of five. The project aims to rehabilitate and provide equipment for four central hospitals in the targeted provinces, supply basic equipment to 87 primary health care homes, and 42 health centers in rural and urban areas, provide nine sets of fully equipped ambulances, and conduct 24 awareness campaigns to contribute to raising awareness for access to reproductive and child health services and improving nutritional diversity for children in rural areas.
