Riyadh, Aug. 19, 2020, SPA -- King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) celebrates the Wold Humanitarian Day which falls on the 19th of August, a report issued here said. Since its establishment by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz aiming to unify the governmental, civil and popular humanitarian and charitable endeavor to benefit the needy and the poor, KSrelief has created and implemented more than 2000 humanitarian projects worth nearly $6billion in 86 countries of the world through non-stop humanitarian and relief work over the last seven years. KSrelief projects target the most vital sectors, including food, education, health, nutrition, water, environmental reforms, accommodation etc benefiting the most vulnerable all over the world without discrimination. It has also concluded firm partnerships and strategic ties with UN-sponsored, global, regional and civil society organizations, amounting to 175 partners. Among the outstanding projects is Masam project to purify the Yemeni territories from anti-human mines implanted by the terrorist Houthi militias. The project was successful to have demined, since its establishment in 2018, more than 353,000 mines. Another qualitative project was the artificial organs implantation for people who lost any in conflicts, benefeting more than 25,000 in Yemen and 748 in Syria. The rehabilitation of enlisted childrn in Yemen has made great strides, benefiting 530 children in addition to 60,560 indirect beneficiaries, including parents and family sponsors. KSrelief has launched a website for external volunteers to help mobilize their energies in humanitarian work, attracting more than 18,000 volunteers who have already contributed to 242 programs in 19 countries around the world, including educational, medical and training programs benefiting more than half a million persons. --SPA 15:49 LOCAL TIME 12:49 GMT 0008 www.spa.gov.sa/w1774668
