Jeddah, June 15, 2022, SPA -- The Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian, Cultural and Social Affairs who is also the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for Afghanistan, Ambassador Tariq Ali Bakhit held here today a virtual consultative meeting with the Minister of State of the United Arab Emirates Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, with the participation of the UAE Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the OIC Permanent Representative Sheikh Nahyan bin Saif Al Nahyan. During this meeting, they tackled the latest developments in Afghanistan, and the OIC's efforts to follow up on the implementation of the decision issued by the extraordinary ministerial session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of Member States held in Islamabad in December 2021 regarding the situation in Afghanistan.
