Madinah, July 03, 2022, SPA – The Cardiac Diseases and Surgery Center, a member of the Madinah Health Community, successfully performed 19 cardiac catheterization operations for pilgrims within ten days, the Health Ministry has said, adding that the Heart Center in Madinah had received cases transferred from hospitals and the Red Crescent Operations Center during the past days, and provided them with the necessary health care, including accurate medical examinations and procedures. In addition to medical care, the Cardiac Diseases and Surgery Center provides the pilgrims with the necessary treatments and medications for heart patients in sufficient quantities to complete the Hajj rituals in good health. The Health Ministry’s plan for this year's Hajj season included equipping 23 hospitals and 147 health centers in Makkah, the Holy Sites, and Madinah with more than 25,000 health practitioners participating in the plan, in addition to 4,654 inpatient beds in hospitals, and 1080 beds in intensive care units, while the number of beds allocated for heat strokes amounted to 238. --SPA 18:44 LOCAL TIME 15:44 GMT 0013 www.spa.gov.sa/w1755701
