Riyadh, March 20, 2022, SPA -- Public education students today returned to in-class education at all stages of the public, private and foreign schools, special education institutes and programs and the continuous education, announcing a new start to continue their educational journey with full attendance during the third semester of the 1443 Hijri academic year amidst the completion of the schools’ preparations in all regions and governorates of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Students continue their educational process in the third semester with cancelling all kinds of work of the operational models that were adopted during the first and second semesters, resuming the morning assembly, performing physical sports, non-class activities, school radio, reopening school canteens, and cancelling physical distancing among students, with continuing to observe security and safety conditions, sterilizing school facilities and buses periodically, and following the condition of completing immunization for the educational and administrative personnel, workers and students who are over 12 years old. The Ministry of Education highlighted the importance of applying the rules of conduct and the updated attendance for students at schools. Education directorates had announced the completion of all preparations for the start of the third scholastic year, preparing the educational community through securing all the requirements of the educational process at all schools, enhancing the roles of supervisors and teachers, in addition to applying health procedures accredited by the Ministry of Health and Public Health Authority, where a preventive guidance handbook had been adopted for resuming in-class education in the third scholastic semester of this year in light of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic for students less than 12 years old, and the updated guidance handbook for returning to schools under the COVID-19 pandemic for students over 12 years old. --SPA 13:20 LOCAL TIME 10:20 GMT 0010 www.spa.gov.sa/w1709665
