Riyadh, Apr. 05, 2022, SPA-- The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has approved the launch, scheduled on Friday the seventh of Ramadan, of the second national campaign for charitable work, as an extension of his sponsorship of all aspects of charitable work in the holy fasting month. To highlight the royal decree, Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, Chairman of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) who is also Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of Ihsan Platform, expressed appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and HRH the Crown Prince for their oversight of charitable work, and the great support they provide for charitable works, based on their keenness to ensure the support provided for beneficiaries with the highest levels of efficiency and reliability through Ihsan platform, citing the unlimited support the platform receives from HRH the Crown Prince, Chairman of SDAIA’s Board of Directors, which had a great impact on the platform’s highest levels of charitable governance. SDAIA’s launch of the second edition of the National Campaign represents an extension of the great turnout that the campaign enjoyed in its first year during last Ramadan, aiming to enable philanthropists, financiers and donors to make their donations in a reliable and secure digital way to the various charitable opportunities offered by Ihsan platform. To participate in the campaign, interested people can contact the philanthropists' service center at 8001247000, he said. Ihsan platform is overseen by a supervisory committee consisting of 12 government agencies, as well as a legal religious committee chaired by the Adviser at the Royal Court and member of the Council of Senior Ulema Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Mutlaq. Since its inception, the platform has received more than SR1.45 billion, with a total of more than 22 million donation operations, benefiting more than 4 million beneficiaries. --SPA 02:52 LOCAL TIME 23:52 GMT 0005 www.spa.gov.sa/w1717547
