KSrelief MASAM Project Dismantles 1,485 Mines in Yemen in One Week

Riyadh, Mar. 28, 2022, SPA -- "MASAM" project, an affiliate of the Riyadh-based King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), which was designed to demine the Yemeni lands, has successfully cleared, during the fourth week of March 2022, as many as 1,485 mines planted by the Houthi militia in various regions of Yemen, it was reported here today. The operation included 50 anti-personnel mines, 423 anti-tank mines, 976 unexploded ammunition explosives and 36 explosive charges, added the report. According to statistics, this brings the number of mines dismantled in March 2022 to 5,395, and those cleared since the beginning of the project so far to 328,184.
