Riyadh, February 25, 2022, SPA --The Governor of the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI), Mohammed bin Talal Al-Nahhas, participated in a dialogue session themed: "The Future of Social Security Administration in Asia and the Pacific”, within the Virtual Forum for Social Security in Asia and the Pacific, which was held from 22 to 24 February 2022, attended by several labor ministers and leaders of insurance protection organizations in the participating countries and the Secretary-General of the International Organization For Social Security (ISSA) Marcelo Abi-Ramia Caetano. In his speech at the session, Al-Nahhas underlined the keenness of the Saudi leadership on the social insurance protection system, which resulted in merging the General Pension Agency with the General Organization for Social Insurance last August to enhance social insurance protection for civilians and military personnel in the public and private sectors and to provide all services under one umbrella. On the challenge of the Corona pandemic and how GOSI reacted to this challenge, Al-Nahhas cited the continuation of all services and the provision of social insurance coverage without affecting the beneficiaries, adding the organization’s interest in providing all services and implementing transactions for beneficiaries by providing these services around the clock through multiple electronic channels. He explained that the future vision of GOSI comes in being a digital institution through an advanced operating model, and a sustainable fund for subscribers and future generations with a more comprehensive view of the concept of social insurance, renewable services and products, and continuing to develop the human capital operating in the institution, which reflects the values GOSI is committed towards its customers. The governor’s participation in the forum emanates from GOSI’s interest in concerted international efforts and the importance of cooperation and coordination to boost the insurance protection umbrella and to review the pioneering experience of the General Organization for Social Insurance in strengthening insurance protection during the Corona pandemic, and its strategic vision towards providing an umbrella of social insurance protection for subscribers and members of their families in a way that meets customer aspirations to provide distinguished services to all beneficiaries. --SPA 21:23 LOCAL TIME 18:23 GMT 0013 www.spa.gov.sa/w1696800
