Aden, April 21, 2022, SPA – King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) handed over 2,700 tons of dates for the World Food Program (WFP) in Aden to be distributed for 1,785,000 individuals in seven Yemeni governorates, as part of the support of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense for the brotherly Yemeni people. Acting Office Director of WFP in Aden Mohammed Sheikh praised the in-kind assistance offered from KSrelief for the underprivileged people in Yemen, adding that the aid arrived just on time during the holy month of Ramadan, where food needs of households increase, noting that the distribution process is implemented according to an accurate mechanism that targets those who are in need. With the start of Ramadan, KSrelief embarked on distributing 5,000 tons of dates for 13 Yemeni governorates as part of a project to distribute dates in Yemen for the 1443 Hijri year, targeting more than 600,000 needy families.
