Dubai, Jan. 09, 2022, SPA -- The Saudi Interior Ministry’s Civil Affairs department, presented a working paper during a workshop organized by GCC pavilion at Expo 2020, highlighting the lessons learnt and experiences gained during the corona pandemic, and their impact on the passports and immigration agencies of the GCC countries. In his working paper, Assistant Undersecretary for Strategy and Business Development at Civil Affairs Khaled Al-Ashiwan reviewed the civil affairs department’s efforts to reduce the repercussions of the pandemic on beneficiaries, citing Saudi Arabia's efforts in countering the pandemic, and the agency’s digital transformation plan and its electronic services, which contributed significantly to the success of remote work and facilitating the beneficiaries’ access to services, without the need to personally attend to the civil affairs offices. --SPA 21:53 LOCAL TIME 18:53 GMT 0034 www.spa.gov.sa/w1675714
