Riyadh, March 07, 2022, SPA -- The Food Security Committee today held its eighth periodic meeting under chairmanship of Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture and Chairman of the committee Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley. During the meeting, the committee reviewed the international report prepared by the Executive Office of Food Security at the Saudi Grains Organization, which included data and indicators on monitoring the availability of foodstuff in local markets, following up on stock reserves and the stability of supply chains in light of developments in international markets, which showed foodstuff availability in the local market. The minister commended the efforts of all institutions concerned with the food security in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and members of the committee, which, through joint monitoring teams, work round the clock to follow up on the availability of supply, agricultural and animal commodities in markets, as well as stocks and supply chains in light of the international developments. --SPA 19:10 LOCAL TIME 16:10 GMT 0025 www.spa.gov.sa/w1702144
