Dubai, February 10, 2022, SPA -- Saudi Arabia's pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai continues to enthrall visitors with its diverse set of activities, most recently the "16 Windows" cultural program, to shed light on the cultural renaissance in the Kingdom in various sectors. The Kingdom's pavilion presented a historical overview of its ancient heritage art, to introduce the visitors to the authenticity of the "Saudi Ardah", which was included in the List of Intangible World Heritage by the International Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The performance started with a chant that was used in the past to stimulate the enthusiasm of the warriors to confront the enemy, while reciting certain poetic verses and chants, followed by a dance with swords to the rhythm of different types of drums, with the performers dressed in special traditional costumes. For the first time, the leader of the Al-Ardah troupe invited several participants from the audience to join the performance where a group of men and women from different countries such as Ireland, Tunisia, the UAE, Russia, France, and India were selected. The lead performer then offered the visitors a quick overview of the basics of this folk dance, amidst cheers from the audience. At the end of the show, the pavilion presented gifts to the best participants in the performance of this ancient heritage art, who expressed their happiness with this beautiful experience, by involving them in the performance of Saudi heritage art. -- SPA 22:22 LOCAL TIME 19:22 GMT 0033 www.spa.gov.sa/w1690141
