Riyadh, March 09, 2022, SPA -- Chargé d’Affaires of the US Embassy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Martina Strong affirmed her country’s support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to achieve the objectives of the Kingdom Vision 2030 as well as the stability of the whole region. In an exclusive statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on the sidelines of the World Defense Show 2022, she indicated that the US pavilion at the World Defense Show in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia includes 75 companies, some of which have been working for many years in partnerships with Saudi companies, and others come for the first time to the Kingdom. "The Defense Show has a positive impact on developing collaboration between the two countries in the field of defense. This event is unique in the Kingdom in the defense sector," she said, welcoming visitors to the US pavilion. “Regarding the long-term partnership between the United States of America and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, our strategic partnership with the Kingdom started nearly 80 years ago aboard the USS Quincy, where King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud met our President Franklin Roosevelt. They began friendship and launched our strategic partnership that we enjoy today. It covers every domain today. But, our security collaboration with Saudi Arabia has always been core of our partnership and collaboration. We work together in every sector within our defense partnership,” she added. She concluded that 75 US companies at the World Defense Show are exhibiting top-of-the-line US technologies, affirming that the US companies showcase their strategic partnerships with the Saudi companies. --SPA 00:22 LOCAL TIME 21:22 GMT 0001 www.spa.gov.sa/w1703425
