Kabul, December 16, 2021, SPA -- Two relief planes, representing the first batch of the Saudi aid airlift to support the Afghan people, dispatched by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), carrying 1,647 food baskets and 192 shelter bags, with a total weight of 65 tons and 746 kilograms arrived in here today. The KSrelief handed over the aid to Deputy President of Afghanistan Red Crescent Association Mohammed Al Tayeb, in the presence of the Saudi Consul in Afghanistan, Mishaal Al-Shammari. It is noteworthy that the Saudi aid airlift, operated by the KSrelief, consists of 6 relief planes carrying 197 tons and 238 kilograms of food and shelter, including 5,022 food baskets and 576 shelter bags to support the Afghan people.
