Amman, February 16, 2022, SPA -- King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), in cooperation with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), concluded a project to distribute winter clothing in Jordan for the 2021-2022 year (second phase), which targeted underprivileged Jordanian families and Syrian and Palestinian refugees. The project included distributing winter clothes and blankets to 31,911 households in 11 Jordanian governorates, with the aim of alleviating their suffering, meeting their basic needs and protecting them from severe cold. Director of KSrelief branch in Jordan Saud bin Abdulaziz Al-Huzaim stressed the importance of this project in meeting the basic living needs of underprivileged families and refugees in Jordan, adding that the centre will continue to support the needy under a pack of diversified relief projects according to systematic and well-structured plans. For his part, JHCO Secretary General Hussein Al-Shibli said that this winter is the coldest since 2008, and thanks to KSrelief support, we managed to reach 159,555 beneficiaries in most of the governorates and distribute this assistance to Jordanian underprivileged families and Syrian and Palestinian refugees. The project is part of humanitarian and relief projects provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, to refugees and host communities in Jordan. --SPA 15:02 LOCAL TIME 12:02 GMT 0019 www.spa.gov.sa/w1692460
