Islamabad, December 19, 2021, SPA -- Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf has highlighted the importance of the international response to offer humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people, praising the efforts of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in this regard. The Secretary General praised the initiative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the current Chair of the OIC, to call for the 17th Extraordinary Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers for member states in the Organization to discuss the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan, which is held today in Islamabad.
