KSrelief Distributes 3,000 Food Baskets in Goobweyn Governorate, Somalia

Jubaland, March 30, 2022, SPA -- King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed Tuesday 3,000 food baskets in Goobweyn Governorate of Jubaland State, the Federal Republic of Somalia, benefiting 18,000 displaced and drought-affected people. Director of KSrelief's branch in Africa Yousef Bakheet Al-Rahmah said that the total volume of aid that will be distributed in Somalia is 2,838 tons, which will benefit 254,184 individuals in most Somali regions, indicating that 670 tons are allocated to Jubaland, which will benefit 60,000 individuals. Al-Rahmah added that this aid comes within KSrelief's relief and humanitarian programs and projects aiming to alleviate the suffering of the people in Somalia. For his part, Vice President of Jubaland State, Mohamud Sayid Adan expressed his thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for standing by the Somali people in light of these current conditions that the Somali people are going through. The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management in Jubaland State, Abdirahman Abdi Ahmed, thanked the government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and KSrelief for their continuous support to the people in Jubaland, especially with the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan.
