Jeddah, March 25, 2022, SPA-- Doyof (Guests) Al Rahman Program", one of the Saudi Vision 2030 executive programs", embodied its integration and cooperation with 70 entities in the public, private and non-profit sectors, during its participation in the activities of the three-day Conference and Exhibition of Hajj and Umrah Services organized by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah entitled "Transformation towards innovation" under the patronage of Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Makkah Region, at the "Jeddah Superdome". The CEO of the program, Eng. Abdul Rahman Addas, said that the operational plan for serving pilgrims is an integrative and participatory process between all concerned parties and that technology is a requirement and not an option, and digitization is a means, not an end, to facilitate the pilgrims’ journey, adding that the Saudi leadership is keen to facilitate the transportation of pilgrims between the various destinations across the country to get acquainted with the heritage and civilization of Saudi Arabia and enrich their religious and cultural experience. He pointed out that the program has surveyed more than 192 contact points with the pilgrims, which were determined based on field studies of each station the pilgrims pass through, in addition to surveying the opinions of more than 20,000 Muslims in more than 20 countries and 135 cities, to learn about their aspirations and the challenges they might face when visiting the Kingdom and performing the rituals, adding that the program then moves on to learn about all the stages the guests of Rahman go through from the idea of visiting the Kingdom to performing Umrah and returning to their homelands, including amending, facilitating and digitizing the visa system, the development of airports, and diversifying transportation options, and performing rituals in comfort and tranquility, and then enriching the guests’ religious and cultural journey by visiting Islamic historical sites. Addas stressed that the pilgrim service program seeks to bring about a new qualitative leap in serving the pilgrims, and providing services that enable them to perform rituals with ease and comfort, by achieving three strategic goals: facilitating hosting more pilgrims, facilitating access to the Two Holy Mosques, and providing quality services for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, enriching their religious and cultural experience, while providing all means for the sector’s sustainability. --SPA 19:25 LOCAL TIME 16:25 GMT 0019 www.spa.gov.sa/w1712447
