UNESCO and Al-Fozan Foundation Launch First Saudi International Award to Encourage Young Scientists in STEM Fields

Paris, October 20, 2021, SPA -- Al-Fozan Foundation, in cooperation with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and with the support of the permanent delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to UNESCO, launched a global award aimed at encouraging young talents in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), as the first global award in UNESCO offered by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The award will celebrate the outstanding achievements of young researchers in the five UNESCO regions around the world who have made notable footprints in their home countries. This came during the 212th session of the Executive Council of UNESCO, which started its work on October 6, 2021, and will continue until October 20, 2021.
