Jeddah, Nov. 16, 2021, SPA -- Jeddah-based King Abdulaziz University has announced that it is ready to receive, until December 05, 2021, research proposals for the sixth session of Makkah Gateway for Research and Innovation this year, scheduled to be held under the patronage of Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Makkah Region, as part of the initiatives of the Makkah Cultural Forum under the slogan "How to set an example in the digital world?". The topics of the current edition include innovation in artificial intelligence applications, the tourism industry: digital transformation and enhancing competitiveness, environmental sustainability and digitization, digitization in medicine and surgery, and finally, innovation in the digitization of Hajj and Umrah services. The conditions for participation in research proposals were determined to be the spatial boundaries of research in Makkah region, adherence to the application form announced on the website of the Deanship of Scientific Research (dsr.kau.edu.sa), commitment to the ethics of scientific research, as well as commitment to intellectual property rights, and an electronic copy should be delivered to the link (https://science.makkah.kau.edu.sa).
