Riyadh, September 15, 2021, SPA -- Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen has strongly condemned the terrorist Houthi militia’s attempt to threaten civilians by targeting Abha International Airport with a bomb-laden drone. The Secretary General stressed that endangering passengers and civilians’ lives is a cowardly terrorist act, a war crime, and a blatant violation of international humanitarian law. Dr. Al-Othaimeen commended the Saudi Air Defense Forces’ efficiency and skills in intercepting and destroying the drone before reaching its target. He also reiterated the OIC’s support for all measures that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia takes to confront the practices of the terrorist Houthi militia in order to preserve its security, stability and the safety of its citizens and residents. The Secretary General renewed his calls on the international community to take decisive stances to stop the continuous cowardly threats with ballistic missiles and bomb-laden drones that the Houthi militia uses in a systematic and deliberate way to target civilians and civilian objects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. --SPA 13:25 LOCAL TIME 10:25 GMT 0011 www.spa.gov.sa/w1618482
