Riyadh, October 14, 2021, SPA – Undersecretaries of Industry Ministries of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries today at the GCC Secretariat General in Riyadh held the 40th Preparatory Meeting for the 48th Meeting of GCC Industrial Cooperation Committee. The undersecretaries discussed several subjects on the meeting’s agenda that aim at encouraging industry in GCC countries and overcoming obstacles, such as the latest developments pertaining to GCC countries’ efforts in facing the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, boosting the role of the industrial sector in GCC, and updating the Industrial Strategy Document for GCC countries, where they also reviewed several reports related to the work of the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting and Technical Secretariat Bureau for Anti-injurious Practices in International Trade. --SPA 21:04 LOCAL TIME 18:04 GMT 0031 www.spa.gov.sa/w1635483
