Makkah, September 8, 2021, SPA -- The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Holy Mosque and the Prophet's Holy Mosque has completed all preparations to receive Umrah performers after increasing the capacity to 70,000 per day, under close follow-up from General President of the Affairs of the Grand Holy Mosque and Prophet's Holy Mosque Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais. Spokesperson of the Presidency Hani Haidar said that this number of Umrah performers will be handled with full application of preventive measures and intensified sterilization, where the Presidency is keen on adopting an integrated structure of services without affecting the implementation of COVID-19 precautionary measures. He also pointed out several services that the Presidency has provided in conjunction with the start of the current phase, including developing thermal cameras and visual sorting operations, supporting sterilization processes with 11 robots that work with artificial intelligence, 20 bio-care devices for sterilization with dry steam, 500 sterilization pumps, in addition to providing 500 electronic soap dispensers and 250 fans distributed throughout the Grand Holy Mosque's courtyards.
