Saudi Press: Saudi Arabia will host Saudi Green Initiative Forum, Middle East Green Initiative Summit in October

Riyadh, September 05, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia supports programs and initiatives concerned with protecting the domestic and international environment. The Kingdom pays an exceptional interest in activating these programs and initiatives and implementing them with the highest standards of scientific application to achieve its goals regarding preserving the environment. In this regard, the newspaper added that the “Saudi Green” and the “Middle East Green” initiatives, announced by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, remain the most important locally and regionally in the path of preserving the environment. This is due to the expected environmental, economic and health impact after their full implementation. Additionally, these two initiatives have been met with international acclaim since their announcement in March of this year. In line with its commitment to making a sustainable global impact in the face of climate change and protecting the environment and the planet at-large, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will host the inaugural Saudi Green Initiative and Middle East Green Initiative events in Riyadh on 23-25 October 2021. The newspaper added that the Saudi Green Initiative Forum and Middle East Green Initiative Summit will bring together countries' leaders, public officials, business leaders, academic pioneers, environmental specialists, and civil society. In another context, Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues to achieve global advancement in many indexes. Saudi Arabia ranked second in the Global Cybersecurity Index and ranked first across the Arab world and 22nd globally in the Global Artificial Intelligence Index. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Saudi Arabia has been ranked second globally among the G20 countries in the Digital Competitiveness Report for the year 2021 issued by the European Center for Digital Competitiveness. All these achievements qualify the Kingdom to become a regional hub to support innovators, programmers, entrepreneurs and the digital business system, the newspaper added. The progress in different indexes achieves national strategic goals.
