Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Head Saudi Arabia's Delegation at G20 Summit in Italy, Saudi Press Report

Riyadh, Oct. 30, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper reported, editorially, that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz will head the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 's delegation at G20 Summit Meetings to be held in Italy. Saudi Arabia's participation in G20 Summit this year comes in light of great international progresses it has made in various fields, the paper said. During its presidency of G20 Summit last year, Saudi Arabia confirmed its great success in leading global efforts to overcome the implications of the Covid-19 pandemic, the paper further said. Saudi Arabia launched initiatives which effectively contributed to uniting humanity's efforts to recover from the effects of this unprecedented challenge, the paper added. Saud Arabia plays a leading role through the troika of G20 summit with Italy and Indonesia in continuing collective efforts to promote economic growth in the world and achieve stability at all levels, the paper further added. Saudi Arabia plays a pivotal role as member of G20 Summit, as it continues supporting the interests of developing countries in order to achieve international balance, the paper concluded. Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that Riyadh city continues achieving distinguished and qualitative progress in the Smart Cities Index (SCI) 2021, issued by the International Institute for Administrative Development (IMD). Riyadh Jumped 23 ranks compared to last year to become the 3rd smartest city among the G20 capitals and thirty at the global level, surpassing ancient cities such as Los Los Angeles, Madrid, Hong Kong and Paris, the paper said. This progress is the 2nd largest among the G20 countries after the South Korean capital, Seoul, and the 3rd largest in the world the paper added.
