Palestinian President Receives Visiting Japanese Foreign Minister

Ramallah, Aug. 17, 2021, SPA -- President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas received here today the Japanese Foreign Minister Motegi Toshimitsu, currently on a visit to Ramallah. The Palestinian News Agency stated that the President briefed the Japanese Foreign Minister on the latest developments in the Palestinian territories, stressing the importance of resuming the political process leading to the end of the Israeli occupation of the territories of the State of Palestine with East Al-Quds as its capital, under the auspices of the International Quartet Committee and in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy. President Abbas praised Japan's political stances in support of achieving peace and stability, welcoming an active Japanese role in the International Quartet.
