Aden, July 17, 2021, SPA -- Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism of Yemen Mua'mar Al-Eryani praised the energy support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for his country, intending to operate 80 electricity generation plants. In a statement to the state-run Yemeni news agency (Saba), Al-Eryani said that the Saudi fuel grant has contributed to the operation of the available electrical units, leading to a decrease in long power outage hours, reduction of the system's frequent cut offs, helping the control of government expenses and providing basic services designed to raise the standard of living. Al-Eryani explained that the oil derivatives grant also raised the rate of energy produced in the electricity system by more than 23% in all governorates, and by more than 40% in Aden governorate in particular, and conduced to stability in the fuel supply, during last May and June. The Yemeni Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's supportive position for Yemen in various stages and circumstances, especially during this current difficult stage. --SPA 00:57 LOCAL TIME 21:57 GMT 0002 www.spa.gov.sa/w1587342
