COVID-19 Boosts World E-Commerce to $7.26 trillion

Geneva, May 4, 2021, SPA -- The COVID-19 pandemic led to increase the share of retail sales via the Internet at a percentage ranging from 16 to 19% in 2020. A United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) report explained that the e-commerce jumped to $7.26 trillion last year. South Korea ranked atop, in this regard, as its e-commerce rose by 9.25%.
