Cairo, July 14, 2021, SPA -- Speaker of the Arab Parliament Adel Abdulrahman Al-Asoomi met in Geneva today with the Secretary-General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Martin Chungong, to inaugurate an effective institutional partnership between AP and IPU. In a statement issued in Cairo to highlight the visit, the Arab Parliament stated that the meeting tackled an important number of key issues, topped by human rights issues in the Arab world, where Al-Asoomi stressed the importance of cooperation with IPU in highlighting the image of regional institutions and parliaments with regard to human rights and avoiding politicization of the case.
