Saudi Arabia's Permanent Representative to OIC Meets his Somali Counterpart

Jeddah, February 24, 2021, SPA – The Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Saleh bin Hamad Al-Suhaibani has met with Permanent Representative of the Republic of Somalia to the OIC Dr. Abdur Razzaq Sead Abdi. During the meeting, they reviewed ways to enhance cooperation between representatives in light of the efforts of the OIC aiming to serve Islamic causes in the midst of current challenges. The two sides also discussed areas of joint Islamic action and ways of coordination in order to serve the objectives of the OIC and its affiliated bodies, whose number exceeds 35 active bodies and institutions covering different fields. Dr. Al-Suhaibani affirmed Saudi Arabia’s keenness to realize the objectives of the organization and support it in all means, referring to the importance of enhancing cooperation and coordination among the organization's bodies. For his part, the Somali Representative appreciated the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Crown Prince, to support Somalia in order to establish a lasting peace and achieve stability and development, praising the generous humanitarian support and the numerous relief and development contributions that Saudi Arabia continuously provides to the Somali people. --SPA 14:07 LOCAL TIME 11:07 GMT 0011 www.spa.gov.sa/w1510565
