Moscow, October 14, 2021, SPA -- Saudi Justice Minister Dr. Walid bin Mohammed Al-Samaani has met in Moscow Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov. During the meeting, Dr. Al-Samaani emphasized the major developments witnessed by the Saudi justice system under the support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense. The Minister presented an overview of the Saudi justice system and criminal justice, the legislative and digitization advancements under Saudi Vision 2030, and the parallel systems of general judiciary and administrative judiciary. “The Ministry of Justice has launched several initiatives under Vision 2030, fast-tracking services through the digital transformation of courts and notarial offices,” the Minister said. “These projects have enabled swift justice and allowed clients to file claims electronically and participate in hearings remotely.” The Minister also noted the principles of fair trial applied in Saudi Arabia, including the presumption of innocence, the multiple levels of the judiciary, and the impartiality of judges.
