Riyadh, March 31, 2021, SPA -- A working group to unify investigating mechanism into accidents of small and large vessels in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States held virtually yesterday its first meeting. The participants reviewed the mechanism for investigating maritime accidents followed in the GCC countries and their similar models, in addition to discussing the participation of GCC countries' specialists in training courses organized by the member states to gain more experience in this field . During the meeting, the working group agreed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will provide the General Secretariat and the member states with the mechanism and methodology for investigating maritime accidents, which were recently approved to be studied and a basis for the unified mechanism. --SPA 15:54 LOCAL TIME 12:54 GMT 0022 www.spa.gov.sa/w1534016
