Riyadh, September 20, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that international book fairs represent an amazing cultural feature, as they are a reflection of the value of nations and a sign of their progress and the advancement of their people. In this regard, the newspaper further said that the Riyadh International Book Fair, which will launch on October 1, 2021, carries deep signs. It affirms that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia enjoys economic prosperity and political stability. Additionally, among the most important signs is that the Riyadh International Book Fair will be held in light of the global Coronavirus (COVID-19), as this affirms the huge professionalism in managing this prestigious cultural event. The newspaper added that through following the preparations for holding huge cultural event by the Ministry of Culture, represented by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission, anyone can observe the great interest that seeks to overcome all obstacles in front of visitors and publishers to benefit from this gathering, which will include hundreds of publishing houses and will contain thousands of books. In another context, Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian and relief aid continues to reach friendly countries in order to enable them to confront different disasters, crises and pandemics. This aid reaches all countries under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, whereas the Kingdom is one of the leading countries in this field. The daily added that Saudi Arabia established King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) to ensure the accuracy of aid delivery to those in need, while the value of humanitarian projects through KSrelief exceeded billions of dollars in many countries, and Yemen received the largest share of this aid. The newspaper pointed out to the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), saying that they play key role in implementing many projects in various countries, especially the countries of the African continent, alongside with the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY). The paper stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is one of the major refugee-hosting countries. The Kingdom also provides the refugees with free education and health services, in addition to working on their integration into the society.
