Manama, May 19, 2021, SPA -- The Bahrain strongly denounced the offensive statements made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lebanese Republic, Charbel Wehbe, during a television interview against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its people and the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The Ministry stresses that these reprehensible statements are inconsistent with basic diplomatic norms and contradict the fraternal relations that bind the peoples of the Gulf Cooperation Council states with the Lebanese people. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic to the Kingdom of Bahrain and handed him an official protest note that included the Kingdom’s rejection and denunciation of the offensive statements made by the Lebanese Minister. --SPA 02:09 LOCAL TIME 23:09 GMT 0002 www.spa.gov.sa/w1559410
