Jeddah, Apr. 11, 2021, SPA -- Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy Dr. Koutoub Moustapha Sano received here today the Consuls General of the African Union Countries accredited to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, headed by Consul General of the Gabonese Republic Abdulaziz Branli Opolo, who is also Dean of the Consuls General of the African Union Countries accredited to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to congratulate him on assuming office as Secretary General of the Academy and discuss matters of common interest. During the meeting, Secretary General of the Academy reviewed with the consuls the cooperation and communication between the academy and the countries they represent, the most important achievements of the academy, and the areas of its activities and programs that the countries of the African Union need, especially in the field of promoting tolerance and interfaith dialogue, combating, extremism and terrorism ideologies, and responding to the aspirations of Muslim societies in the non-members states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
