Geneva, April 6, 2021, SPA -- Director General of the World Health Organization Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus called world countries to invest in health as an engine of development, consolidate health services and remove barriers that prevent accessing these services, in order that more people have the opportunity to live a healthy life. He pointed out that pumping 1 per cent of the GDP into health care, would result in increasing the average of age and saving tens of millions sick across the globe. He also called, during a press conference, to expedite fair access to vaccines, oxygen, remedies, protection equipment and diagnosis tests, and making them at avail of those in need all over the world. --SPA 22:49 LOCAL TIME 19:49 GMT 0051 www.spa.gov.sa/w1537503
