Riyadh, Apr. 12, 2021, SPA -- The Ministry of Justice organized a virtual workshop with a United Kingdom-based judicial expert, attended by a group of judges in the labor, commercial, appeal and personal status courts. The workshop covered a number of topics, including the British judicial experience, an overview of the British judiciary, the mechanism of judicial procedures in the British courts, rights of the accused in the United Kingdom, and efforts to combat terrorism, money laundering and terrorist financing. It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Justice had previously signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with its British counterpart, which included the exchange of information and experiences in the procedural field between the two countries, the strengthening of training methods in the fields of practicing the advocacy profession and the facilitation of communication between the two countries. The MoU included transferring the organizational expertise between experts in the two countries and learning the modern technical systems used to facilitate procedural work in the courts in order to achieve the quality of performance in accordance with modern technologies and knowledge.
