NEOM, March 30, 2021, SPA -- His Royal Highness Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, made a phone call on Monday to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces. During the call, they reviewed the Green Saudi and the Green Middle East initiatives announced by HRH the Crown Prince, which, in partnership with the countries of the region, aim to plant 50 billion trees as the largest reforestation program in the world, and to enhance the efficiency of oil production and increase the contribution of renewable energy, in addition to multiple efforts to preserve the marine and coastal environment and increase the proportion of natural reserves. They also reviewed the importance of these initiatives in facing environmental challenges in the region and the world, and their role in improving the quality of life and public health.
