Saudi Press: Saudi Arabia Tops Arab Countries in World Happiness Report 2021

Riyadh, March 22, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh and Al-Yaum newspapers reported in their editorials that the integrated dimensions of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 are related to the current reality as well as exploring the future's needs and challenges. These dimensions also had a tangible impact on improving all details related to the well-being of the citizen and the quality of life in Saudi Arabia. In this regard, the newspaper pointed to Saudi Arabia’s ranking first across the Arab world and 21st globally in the World Happiness Report 2021, which was issued by the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network. The report focused on measuring the effects of COVID-19 on the global quality of life and measures happiness index in about 150 countries worldwide. This progress affirms the Saudi leadership’s keenness on the improvement of the quality of life in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the newspaper concluded. Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that the military sectors receive the full support from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH the Crown Prince to maintain of the highest levels of efficiency and readiness with the latest military systems, in order to defend Saudi Arabia and its gains. As an embodiment of this responsibility, the branches of Saudi Arabia’s armed forces continue their joint naval and air maneuvers and exercises with a number of countries, the paper added. Moreover, the maneuvers of the joint exercise (Confrontation 4) kicked off yesterday. The exercise is carried out by the Royal Saudi Naval Forces with the participation of units from the Eastern Fleet, the Ministry of Interior represented by the Border Guards in the Eastern Province, the Presidency of State Security, and the Ministry of Energy represented by Saudi Aramco. It aims at raising the readiness and preparedness of all participating units to confront terrorist operations on oil installations and achieving the security and safety of vital installations. In another context, Okaz newspaper reported in its editorial that the Ministry of Health announced that more than 3 million doses of Coronavirus administered across more than 500 vaccination centers, which affirm the great interaction from all community members with the government’s efforts aiming to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. Saudi Arabia’s successes in the confronting pandemic were commended by the health authorities and organizations, which confirmed that the Saudi experience was the best in the world, the newspaper added.
