Saudi Arabia Hands over Medical Aid to Bangladesh to Combat COVID-19

Dhaka, July 17, 2021, SPA -- Saudi Ambassador to the People's Republic of Bangladesh Issa bin Youssef Al-Duhailan handed over the medical aid provided by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh through King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief). The aid includes 23 ventilators and 1,200 cartons of medical gloves in order to combat the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). Ambassador Al-Duhailan said that this aid is part of the gift provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Bangladesh amounted to $ 1,000,000 to help in combating the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). This aid comes in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, to help the affected people, in continuation of the ongoing charitable work to support the international efforts to combat the Coronavirus pandemic, and to affirm the brotherly relations between the two countries. For his part, Minister of Health of Bangladesh Dr. Zahid Malik expressed his deep thanks and gratitude from the government and people of his country to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s leadership and people for providing aid and medical supplies in these difficult circumstances in his country due to the spread of the Coronavirus and the increase in infection and death rates.
