Commander of King Abdulaziz Air Base in Eastern Sector Visits RSAF Group Participating in 2021 Air Excellence Center Exercise

Riyadh, April 06, 2021, SPA -- The Commander of King Abdulaziz Air Base in the Eastern Sector, Major General Pilot Eid bin Barak Al-Otaibi, visited on Sunday the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) group participating in the mixed air exercise (2021 Air Excellence Center Exercise), in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. He was received by the Deputy Chief of Pakistani Air Staff, Lieutenant General Syed Noman Ali; the Saudi Military Attaché to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Major General Pilot Awad bin Abdullah Al-Zahrani, and Commander of RSAF group participating in the exercise, Lieutenant Colonel Pilot Fayeh bin Abdulrahman Al-Roqi. Major General Pilot Al-Otaibi was briefed on the exercise, the preparations that preceded the implementation of the exercise, and what had been accomplished since the beginning of the exercise so far in terms of the exercise maneuvers and goals that had been achieved. He explained that such exercises require a high level of competence and professionalism in the operational, technical and administrative aspects that exist in the RSAF with its capabilities and accumulated experience through the participation in international mixed exercises. Al-Otaibi pointed to the capabilities of the RSAF to transfer the participating aircraft systems, equipment and personnel thousands of miles with purely Saudi capabilities, and to adapt to work in different air environments with the highest levels of safety and professionalism, which is nothing but solid evidence of the distinct national competencies our air forces possess. He praised the unlimited support accorded to the Armed Forces by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Supreme Commander of All Military Forces, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.
